Dog Advice Hub (dogadvicehub.com) is operated by Balancelogic LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at team@dogadvicehub.com.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
- Information you give us directly. When you fill out a form on the site — for example, the contact form or a newsletter signup — we collect what you submit. That typically includes your first name, email address, and (for the contact form) the message you send us.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit any page, our analytics tools record standard web traffic data: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, how you got to the site (referrer), and roughly where you are in the world (country/region from IP).
How we use it
- Replying to messages you send us through the contact form (delivered to team@dogadvicehub.com).
- Sending you the email content you signed up for — for example, the free 7-Day Puppy Plan or future newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Understanding which articles and products are useful to readers, so we can write more of what helps and less of what doesn’t.
- Detecting abuse (spam, scraping, attempted attacks) and keeping the site running.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not share email addresses with other companies for their marketing purposes.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run the site. Each one has access only to the information needed to do its job, and each operates under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 (via the Site Kit plugin, property
G-X14PRGRJM9) — collects the automatic traffic data described above to help us understand site usage. Google’s privacy policy. - Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights (also via Site Kit) — help us monitor search performance and page speed. They do not receive identifiable visitor data.
- MailerLite — stores email subscribers and delivers our emails. If you sign up for the puppy plan or a newsletter, your name and email are stored on MailerLite’s servers. MailerLite’s privacy policy.
- Amazon Associates — when you click an Amazon affiliate link on our site, Amazon may set cookies to track that the click came from us so we can be credited for any purchase. We do not see what you buy or your Amazon account details. Amazon’s privacy notice.
- EasyWP / Namecheap — our hosting provider. Server logs (including IP addresses) are kept for security and operational purposes.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use them for two reasons: analytics (to count visits and understand how the site is used) and affiliate tracking (so an affiliate program knows the click came from us). Most browsers let you block cookies; if you do, parts of the site will still work fine, but our traffic measurements will not count your visit.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the GDPR (European Union/UK) or CCPA (California). At a minimum, we honor the following for everyone:
- Access — you can ask what information we have about you.
- Correction — you can ask us to fix anything that’s wrong.
- Deletion — you can ask us to delete your data. For email subscribers, this is the same as unsubscribing and can be done with one click. For anything else, email team@dogadvicehub.com and we’ll handle it within a reasonable time.
- Opt out of marketing — every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Children
Dog Advice Hub is written for adult dog owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at team@dogadvicehub.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS across the entire site, and our hosting and email providers use industry-standard security practices. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, but we treat the information you give us with care.
External links
The site links to other websites — Amazon listings, manufacturer pages, related blogs, source articles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we link to. Use them at your own discretion.
Changes to this policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated more prominently — for example, in a banner on the site or an email to subscribers.
