Common questions about our picks

How do we pick what to recommend?

Three filters: would we buy it for our own dog, has it been around long enough to have a real track record, and is it priced fairly versus comparable options. If a product fails any of these, it doesn’t make the page.

Why only Amazon and not Chewy/Petco/etc.?

Mostly inventory. Amazon stocks all of these reliably and the affiliate program is straightforward. Many of these products are available cheaper or with better return policies elsewhere — if you have a Chewy account, check there too.

No premium / luxury picks?

Not yet. The products here are the highest signal-to-noise picks for most dogs. Premium tier-up options (orthopedic-everything, designer collars, smart feeders) deserve their own deep dives — that’s coming.

Will the products list change?

Yes. We refresh quarterly. If a product gets discontinued, declines in quality, or a clearly better option emerges, it gets swapped. Subscribe below to know when the list updates.
